Short-Form Travel Video Editor (Reels & Shorts)

We're looking for a freelance video editor to create engaging vertical videos for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts using our extensive library of original travel footage. Content includes drone footage, iPhone footage, cruise ships, destinations throughout Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and other travel locations around the world. The ideal candidate understands: Short-form storytelling Strong hooks in the first 1-3 seconds Audience retention and pacing Travel and destination content Vertical video editing best practices Responsibilities: Edit raw drone and smartphone footage into compelling 15-60 second vertical videos Identify interesting moments and visual stories from larger footage libraries Add captions, text overlays, music, and effects when appropriate Deliver platform-ready videos optimized for social media engagement Important: We have a large library of original footage and want our content built from real-world travel experiences. AI-assisted editing tools are welcome for tasks such as clip selection, transcription, captioning, organization, and workflow efficiency. However, we are not looking for AI-generated footage, synthetic travel scenes, fake destinations, or generated B-roll. Authenticity is important. Requirements: Experience editing Reels, Shorts, or TikTok videos Ability to create strong hooks and maintain viewer retention Portfolio demonstrating travel, tourism, lifestyle, or destination content Strong communication and reliability This is a part-time freelance opportunity with the potential for long-term ongoing work.
