Short-Form Video Editor — Social Media & Broadcast Content for Small Businesses
Worldwide
About the work I'm a one-person video production studio based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, producing ongoing content for local service businesses -- concrete contractors, equipment dealers, roofing companies, and similar clients. I shoot the footage on location. You edit it. I'm an editor myself with 25+ years in commercial production, so I know what it takes to do this job well. You won't be handed a hard drive and left to figure it out. Depending on the project, I can provide organized Premiere Pro and After Effects project files, labeled footage, reference cuts, client style guides, graphics templates, logos, and clear direction on tone. My goal is to set you up to do your best work -- and then get out of your way. What you'll be editing Primarily 15 to 60-second social spots for Instagram Reels, Facebook, and similar platforms, as well as horizontal cuts for broadcast and television. Content is grounded and professional -- skilled trades and service businesses that take pride in their craft. Think job site B-roll, owner interviews, customer testimonials, before/after shots, and product features. Deliverables will include both horizontal and vertical cuts. Graphics and lower thirds are reformatted per aspect ratio -- I handle this currently, but you should understand how layout shifts between formats and be comfortable working with versioned graphic templates. Treatment varies by client and project -- captions, pacing style, and approach will be directed per job. I'm not looking for a one-size-fits-all formula. What I need from you: • Solid Premiere Pro and After Effects skills (non-negotiable) • Experience editing short-form content for businesses, not personal creators • Clean pacing, good music sense, ability to follow a reference cut • The ability to think editorially -- if I hand you a testimonial interview with minimal direction, I expect you to find the story in it • Awareness of what's working in short-form content right now and how the format is evolving • Turnaround of 2 to 3 business days per deliverable • Clear, responsive communication in English • Ability to receive feedback professionally and turn revisions around quickly How this engagement works: Starting with a paid test edit -- I'll provide the footage and direction, you deliver a cut. If it's a good fit, this becomes ongoing retainer work with consistent weekly volume as the client roster grows. To apply, please answer these questions with your proposal: • Share one example of short-form business content you've edited • What version of Premiere Pro do you use? • What's your typical turnaround time for a 60-second edit?
