Short-Form Video Editor (Sports Podcast Content)
Worldwide
We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented video editor who takes pride in precision and quality. This role is less about flashy edits and more about getting the details right — clean cuts, accurate captions, strong pacing, and thoughtful clip selection. You’ll be creating social media short-form videos (TikToks, Reels, etc.) typically between 1–3 minutes long, turning long-form sports podcast content into engaging, high-retention clips. You should be meticulous when it comes to proofreading captions, sourcing relevant, high-quality B-roll, and ensuring every clip is polished and error-free. A strong understanding of sports, storytelling, and sports journalism is important, as the goal is to present conversations in a way that feels authentic, engaging, and credible. We follow a proven, repeatable editing format, so the ability to follow structure and maintain consistency is key. We are not looking for heavy effects, flashy transitions, or over-editing — simplicity, clarity, and attention to detail matter most. You must be able to closely follow our existing editing style and replicate it exactly — clips should look indistinguishable from our current content. 💼 About the Role You’ll edit ~20 short-form clips per week (≈80/month) from podcast episodes featuring athletes, celebrities, and cultural figures. Platforms: TikTok Instagram Reels YouTube Shorts Facebook Each clip is typically 1–3 minutes long and optimized for retention, engagement, and shareability. 📈 Consistent weekly volume + long-term opportunity 🔥 What You’ll Do Identify strong, viral-worthy moments from long-form content Create engaging, well-paced clips with strong hooks Add captions, text, and relevant B-roll Ensure accuracy, clarity, and overall polish in every video Match our existing editing style exactly 🧠 What We’re Looking For Experience editing podcast or sports content Strong understanding of short-form performance (TikTok/Reels/Shorts) Ability to find moments independently Strong attention to detail (captions, timing, visuals) Ability to closely follow an established editing style without deviation Proficiency in: Adobe Premiere Pro CapCut Fast turnaround + responsiveness to feedback ⚡ Workflow ~20 clips delivered weekly Structured feedback loops Editors expected to self-QC before submission Ongoing collaboration with room to scale 🚀 Why This Role is Great Consistent, predictable workload Long-term opportunity (not a one-off project) Work on engaging, high-visibility content with strong viral potential Clear creative direction and references provided 📩 How to Apply Please include: Links to relevant work (sports/podcast clips preferred) Examples of short-form content you’ve edited A quick note on how you identify viral moments Your availability If you’re highly detail-oriented and know how to turn conversations into polished, scroll-stopping content, we’d love to work with you 🔥
