Summary

We’re hiring a freelancer who is strong at both short-form vertical video editing and the operations side of publishing: captions, Instagram alt text, scheduling, pinned comments, tracker updates, and first-hour engagement. This is intentionally a hybrid role. We run a multi-brand ecommerce portfolio in the mattress/sleep space. Our content is search-ranking driven, not trending-audio driven. We are not hiring for aesthetic montage edits. We are hiring for clean, compliant, keyword-led short-form videos designed to rank on TikTok and Instagram search. The Work You will receive raw footage + a clear brief. For each asset, you will: - Cut a 35–55 second vertical video - Add clean captions and readable on-screen text - Create or prep a cover image - Prepare caption, Instagram alt text, hashtags, and pinned comment - Publish or schedule to TikTok and Instagram - Monitor first-hour engagement when required - Reply to safe comments using approved guidance - Update the tracker after every post At full pace, expect roughly 10–15 videos per month. Trial We’ll start with a 2-week paid trial. Trial deliverables: - 6 edited vertical videos - TikTok + Instagram posting package for each video - Captions, Instagram alt text, covers, hashtags, and pinned comments - Tracker updates after every post - Daily updates via Upwork and/or Slack If the trial goes well, we’ll move to an ongoing retainer or per-video structure, depending on fit and your preference. Please do not apply if: - You have never written Instagram alt text - You have never published under brand accounts at volume - You only do trending-audio aesthetic edits - You cannot follow a checklist exactly - You are not comfortable with compliance language - You have never worked in a category where claims matter, such as healthcare, supplements, finance, mattress, beauty, wellness, or similar Compliance matters here. We will provide approved language and a checklist, but we need someone who understands that small wording mistakes can create problems.
