(Instagram/TikTok/YouTube Shorts) Job Description: We're looking for a skilled short-form video editor to create scroll-stopping, high-retention videos for our brand, Vivant — a managed connectivity and communications provider for multi-location businesses. We need someone who understands what makes content actually perform on Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts — not just clean cuts, but the pacing, hooks, and editing choices that stop the scroll and drive watch-through. What you'll be doing: Editing raw footage (interviews, B-roll, screen recordings, founder/CEO clips) into punchy, fast-paced short-form videos Writing or refining hook-driven openers (first 1-3 seconds) designed to stop the scroll Adding captions, motion graphics, text overlays, sound design, and trending audio where relevant Optimizing edits per platform (aspect ratio, pacing, caption style, length) for IG Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts Collaborating with our marketing team on content angles, scripts, and repurposing long-form footage (podcasts, webinars, sales calls) into multiple short clips Staying on top of platform trends, formats, and audio/sound trends relevant to B2B/SMB audiences What we're looking for: A portfolio with real examples of short-form content you've edited with view counts and performance data Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and hook-writing (send us your favorite edit and tell us why it works) Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar Experience editing for B2B, SaaS, or "boring industry made interesting" brands is a huge plus Ability to turn around edits quickly (this will be an ongoing, recurring project, not a one-off) Comfortable taking direction but also pitching creative ideas, not just executing Project details: Ongoing/recurring work, starting with a trial batch of videos We'll provide raw footage, brand guidelines, and messaging direction Please include 2-3 links to short-form videos you've personally edited in your application, along with a one-line note on what made each one work If you live and breathe short-form editing and know how to turn "boring B2B" into thumb-stopping content, we'd love to see your work.
