Simple Data Cleaning Assistant Needed (Sports Database)

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented data cleaner to help review and correct player records in a sports database. The work is straightforward and repetitive: you’ll review a list of player entries with missing or incorrect identifiers, compare them against the source data we provide, and mark or correct the right information. We will personally train you and provide a clear written guide with examples. No sports knowledge is required. This is mainly careful web research and data entry. Responsibilities: Review assigned player records Match each player to the correct source profile Correct obvious data issues or flag uncertain matches Follow our step-by-step guide exactly Keep a simple log of completed work Requirements: Strong attention to detail Comfortable with repetitive data-entry work Basic spreadsheet skills Reliable communication and ability to follow instructions Able to identify when a match is uncertain instead of guessing Nice to have: Experience with data cleaning, web research, or sports data Familiarity with U.S. college football player names (not required) We will start with a small paid test batch.
