Simulation & Proposal Engineer
Worldwide
We are seeking an expert Simulation & Proposal Engineer for a Project. The role involves managing simulation projects, developing proposals, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD, CFD, Digital Mockup CATIA / ANSYS expert for tolerance analysis, and be able to work independently to deliver high-quality results. Here’s a professional job description based on the tasks you outlined: --- **Job Title:** Simulation & Proposal Engineer (CAD / CFD / Tolerance Analysis) **Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled engineer to manage the digital validation and technical documentation for installing a product in a congested area. The role focuses on performing simulations, analyzing fits and tolerances, and preparing a customer-facing technical proposal. **Key Responsibilities:** **Task 1 – Digital Mock-Up & Simulations** - Develop and run multiple CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations to analyze airflow, heat dissipation, and thermal performance. - Perform thermal simulations of the structure to identify potential hotspots and ensure safe operating conditions in a congested installation environment. - Iterate digital mock-ups based on simulation results to optimize product placement and performance. **Task 2 – Tolerance & Fit Analysis** - Conduct various tolerance stack-up analyses to verify assembly feasibility in tight spaces. - Run fit simulations to ensure the CAD model aligns with real-world installation constraints (clearances, interferences, accessibility). - Identify potential clashes or misalignments and recommend design adjustments. **Task 3 – Technical Proposal Preparation** - Compile simulation results, fit analysis outcomes, and design recommendations into a comprehensive technical proposal. - Structure the proposal for customer evaluation, including methodology, key findings, risk assessment, and compliance with requirements. - Support customer interactions to address queries and obtain final approval. **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering (or related field). - Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks). - Experience with CFD and thermal simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or similar). - Knowledge of tolerance analysis tools (e.g., 3DCS, CETOL, or manual stack-up methods). - Strong technical writing and presentation skills for customer-facing documentation. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience working with installations in congested or space-constrained environments (e.g., engine bays, enclosures, urban infrastructure). - Familiarity with DMU (Digital Mock-Up) processes. - Ability to manage multiple simulation scenarios and document results efficiently. **Deliverables:** - CFD and thermal simulation reports. - DMU =Tolerance and fit analysis reports. - Final technical proposal
