3D Single Animation Landscape with Structure/Physics (Complex and numerous shapes)
Worldwide
We are seeking a talented 3D Environment and VFX Artist to create a series of high-fidelity, highly optimized cinematic still renders. The visual style is a Pixar/Disney-style 3D lifelike animation—vibrant, beautifully lit, and epic in scale, yet clean and cinematic. The concept is a massive, satirical, and deeply symbolic scene: All the world's military assets are magically lifted into space and tied into a colossal, makeshift "Christmas tree" structure. We do not need an animation of the weapons actively piling up (we will use AI tools to interpolate the motion later). Instead, we need several distinct high-resolution still shots and keyframes from specific camera distances that we can use to animate with. Technical & Asset Requirements Software Agnostic: You are free to use your preferred 3D software ecosystem (Blender, Maya, Houdini, 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, etc.). Optimization Is Mandatory: Because of the monumental scale of this structure, you must utilize smart technical optimization (procedural scattering tools, instancing, proxy models, and lightweight shaders/greebles) to keep the scene render-ready without crashing. Real-World Military Assets: The asset pool must feature recognizable, diverse, real-world military equipment from nations across the globe. You must explicitly include USA and Chinese aircraft carriers, along with destroyers, submarines, fighter jets, tanks, and missiles from as many different countries as possible. The Golden Wire & UFO Ships: The tree is bound by a thick, glowing, golden magical forcefield wire. This wire is actively woven around the pile at extreme speeds by two human-sized UFO ships zipping around the structure as it fills up with weapons. (Note: The UFOs are too small to be seen in the wide shots, but their hyper-fast light trails are prominent). Required Deliverables (Several Still Renders) We require a sequence of master keyframes captured at specific cinematic distances to tell the story: 1. The Fast-Wrap Filling Shot (Wide Cinematic Distance) Composition: Shot from an extreme cinematic distance to capture the entire monumental structure against a deep-dark starfield. The Action: The tree structure is shown actively filling up with international military assets while the golden wire is woven around it at hyper-speed. The human-sized UFO ships are zipping around creating brilliant, chaotic golden light trails to keep the massive, bulging pile stable. 2. The Star Topper Setup (Macro Close-Up) Composition: A tight, detailed macro shot focusing entirely on the 5-pointed star topper sitting at the absolute peak of the structure. The Detail: The star is composed of thousands of tightly packed, clearly visible nuclear warheads wrapped in the golden wire framework. This frame must align perfectly with the camera axis of the wide shots to allow for a seamless zoom-out transition. 3. The Sparkling Detonation & Grand Explosion (Wide Zoom-Out) Composition: A wide cinematic shot of the fully wrapped, completed Christmas tree structure. The VFX Action: The final grand explosion sequence begins. Due to the massive scale of the tree, it should visibly sparkle with multiple smaller, chain-reaction explosions caused by tumbling missiles and unstable assets slipping through the wire. Physics: All explosions, debris, and the resulting zero-gravity plasma ball must look physically, realistically grounded within the context of a stylized animation feature. Project Timeline & Milestones (1 Month) Week 1: Block-out & Framing – Establish the colossal scale with basic proxy geometry. Lock down the camera distances (extreme wide and macro close-up) to approve composition and lighting. Week 2: International Asset Integration – Populate the structure with instanced real-world military assets (US/Chinese carriers, global tanks, jets) and establish the procedural texturing. Week 3: Lighting, UFO Trails & Wire Effects – Implement the glowing golden wire, the hyper-speed UFO light trails, and the nuclear star topper detail. Week 4: VFX Explosions & Final Polish – Bake the physically grounded sparkling missile explosions, fine-tune the color grading/bloom, and deliver the final high-res stills. How to Apply Please submit your portfolio emphasizing large-scale environment design, stylized sci-fi concepts, or advanced procedural layout/VFX work. In your proposal, briefly explain how you plan to handle the optimization of a monumental asset scale containing thousands of international military vehicles. (Note to applicants: Exact mathematical dimensions and technical scale constraints will be provided as an addendum to the project scope upon hiring.)
