Smart attachment Prototype Development

Summary

We are working on a project building a lightweight, clip-on glasses attachment that tracks focus, fatigue, and body posture. This is a research-grade neurotech prototype (not a medical device) meant for pilot testing and investor demos. We’ve mapped out the concept, and now we need a practical, budget-conscious hardware engineer to bring the electronics to life from scratch. What We Are Building A tiny, battery-powered wearable that packs in a lot of sensor tech: Eye Tracking (EOG): Measuring blinks and eye movements. Heart Rate (PPG): Tracking heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV). Movement (IMU): Monitoring head posture and motion. Data Transmission: Using Bluetooth (BLE) to send all this data to a phone/computer for multi-sensor fusion. What You’ll Do We need you to design the complete electronic architecture and schematics from end to end. This includes: Picking the components and keeping power consumption ultra-low. Designing the analog front-end to clean up delicate eye-movement signals. Setting up the battery charging system (LiPo via magnetic charging). Planning for a very tight, compact wearable space (experience with rigid-flex or small PCBs is a huge plus). Giving basic layout guidance so we can manufacture a reliable V1 prototype. Our Planned Tech Stack (Open to your suggestions if you know a better way!) MCU: Nordic nRF52840 or nRF5340 PPG: MAX30102 (or similar) IMU: BMI270 or ICM-42688 Power: LiPo battery with a magnetic charging setup Who We’re Looking For We care about practical skills over fancy resumes. We are highly open to talented up-and-coming engineers with smaller profiles if your technical understanding is strong. Bonus points if you have experience with: Low-noise bio-signals (like ECG, EEG, or EOG). Designing for tiny, battery-operated wearables. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) systems. Location & Budget Note: Because we are an early-stage startup, we are looking for cost-effective talent. We welcome engineers from regions like China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Africa, or other competitive hardware engineering hubs. How to Apply Please send over a message with: A few examples of past projects (especially wearables or sensor tech). Any schematic or PCB samples you're allowed to share. Your rough estimated timeline and pricing for a V1 schematic design. Looking forward to working together! Skills Required
