Social Media Assistant

Must be on Pacific Standard time; I’m looking for a reliable, proactive, and organized Virtual Assistant to support me with day-to-day business operations. This is an ongoing role with flexible hours (approximately 10–20 hours per week to start, with potential to increase). Key Responsibilities: • Social Media Management: Schedule, upload, and optimize posts across platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.). This includes creating simple captions, formatting content, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule. • Research: Conduct targeted research on business ideas, products, suppliers (purveyors), competitors, pricing, and market trends. Summarize findings clearly in notes or reports. • Email & Client/Purveyor Outreach: Draft, send, and follow up on professional emails to potential clients, suppliers, partners, and vendors. Track responses and maintain organized outreach lists. • Administrative & Day-to-Day Tasks: Handle general admin work such as organizing files, data entry, basic calendar management, creating simple documents/spreadsheets, and other ad-hoc tasks that come up in a fast-moving small business environment. • Communication: Respond to messages and coordinate with me efficiently (primarily via email, Slack, or similar tools). Requirements: • Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant, Social Media Assistant, or similar role (please share relevant examples or past Upwork jobs). • Excellent written English communication skills — professional, clear, and error-free. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Canva (or similar for basic graphics), social media schedulers (Buffer, Later, etc.), and spreadsheets. • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and meet deadlines. • Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace. Nice-to-Haves: • Experience in the food, restaurant, or e-commerce space. • Basic graphic design or content creation skills. • Familiarity with crypto/web3 or startup environments (a plus, not required).
