About Us Beachside Grind is a cozy, community-focused café in Alberta Beach, AB, serving freshly crafted coffee, pastries, bagels, blended drinks, and wholesome bites. We're a local gem that doubles as a community hub—think live music nights, open mic events, vendor spotlights, and seasonal specials. We're growing fast and need a talented content creator to amplify our voice across social platforms. The Role We're looking for a part-time social media content creator (15 - 20 hours/week, remote) to build and execute our social media strategy for July and August, with potential for ongoing work. You'll be responsible for: - Creating a comprehensive social media content calendar (spreadsheet format with dates, captions, and deliverables) - Designing graphics, canvases, and videos using Canva (or similar tools—we're flexible) - Producing minimum 3 posts per week across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok - Creating 1 story per day for Instagram/Facebook - Focusing on: community events (live music nights, open mic), vendor spotlights, seasonal/weekly specials, and menu features - Delivering all content ready-to-post with clear captions and file organization - Sharing Canva designs so we can request tweaks if needed What you'll deliver: - A well-organized spreadsheet/document with posting schedule, captions, and image/video files - High-quality, on-brand graphics and short-form videos - Content that feels warm, sincere, community-focused, and conversational, never corporate Timeline (This is important!) Rest of July: Content calendar + graphics/videos due by end of next week August: Full month's content due by July 27th (gives us time to review) Quick turnaround required, we need someone who can move fast without sacrificing quality What We Provide: -Brand guidelines (colors, voice, tone, brand story) - Content direction and approval process - Flexibility to iterate on designs Ideal Candidate: - Proficient in Canva (preferred) or similar design tools - Experience creating social media content for small businesses, cafés, or hospitality brands - Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok best practices - Able to write engaging captions that feel authentic and community-focused - Comfortable with quick turnarounds and tight deadlines - Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive to feedback - Portfolio or examples of past social media work Compensation & Terms - 15 - 20 hours/week, remote - July + August focus (with potential for ongoing work) - Competitive rate based on experience and portfolio Ready to bring Beachside Grind's story to life?
