Social Media Content Creator (short form video + graphic carousels)
Worldwide
Remote (US) | $400–$1250/month DOE | Independent Contractor (1099) | Part-Time, Flexible Schedule ABOUT THE BRAND We're about to launch a brand-new wellness brand, and we're looking for the right freelancer to help build its social presence at an early, high-momentum stage. The product is a brain health supplement formulated by a PhD neuroscientist, paired with simple daily practices for calm, focus, emotional balance, and long-term brain health—all built on the idea that you shouldn't have to overhaul your life or become a different person to feel more capable in it. We're looking for someone who gets genuinely excited about that—not a social media generalist looking for another client, but someone who's already living and breathing the wellness space, who can hear a founder's raw idea or read his notes and think, "I know exactly how to make that click for someone scrolling at 11pm." If you want to help shape the voice and system behind a brand this well-developed, from as close to day one as it gets, this is that opportunity. THE ROLE The Social Media Content Creator (SMCC) is the creative execution engine for the brand. Working from briefs and approved copy provided by the Social Media Manager, your mission is to bring the brand's visual identity to life through crisp short-form video editing and elevated graphic design—and make sure it all goes live without a hitch. WHAT YOU'LL DO Video Editing: Transform raw founder footage and b-roll into clean, well-paced short-form videos for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Graphic Design: Build polished carousel posts and static assets in Canva/Adobe using established brand guidelines. Story Curation: Assemble 3–5 Instagram Stories weekly combining raw founder clips, quiz stickers, polls, and interactive graphics. Platform Scheduling & Live Posting: Stage, double-check, and schedule/post all approved posts, Reels, Stories, and carousels across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn ensuring they go live exactly as approved, without any glitches. Asset Organization & Library Building: Help establish and maintain an organized and intuitive cloud storage system and asset library for raw-footage and all final content, so everything is easily accessible. Async Workspace Communication: Communicate seamlessly with the founder and team via Slack. SCOPE & DELIVERABLES Monthly content created: ~20 feed posts total per month designed primarily for Instagram but that can also be leveraged across TikTok and YouTube Shorts—which typically will look like 16–20 short-form video edits (3–4/week) and 4–8 designed carousels (1–2/week). 3–5 Instagram Stories sets per week (12-20 sets per month) Cross-Posting: Scheduling or live posting across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn to ensure posts go live accurately across 5 days/week. Monthly data gathering to show top performing content WHO YOU ARE You're an editing pro in CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro, with a real eye for pacing, text placement, audio leveling, and visual rhythm. You have an elevated aesthetic—strong instincts for layout, typography, color, and restraint, suited to a premium wellness brand rather than a loud/cluttered one. You're a social media whiz. You live and breathe Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts—personally and/or professionally—because you genuinely love seeing how other creators and brands are building content. That habit keeps you naturally ahead of what's cool, relevant, and highly engaging right now. You're a reliable, independent executor—you take a brief, get it done on deadline, and manage your own timeline without needing someone standing over your shoulder. You're comfortable being resourceful early on—this brand is still building its content library, so you're not just editing from a deep archive; you're helping build the archive too. Bonus if you’re comfortable being on camera or shooting simple UGC content footage yourself—b-roll, product shots, coffee ritual, wellness practices. (A nice-to-have, though not required.) You're tech and workflow fluent—comfortable in Canva, Google Drive, Notion/Asana, and scheduling tools (Later, Planoly, Metricool). You operate as a registered business entity (LLC, Corporation, or registered Sole Proprietorship) with a valid business license where required, and/or hold an EIN. WHEN APPLYING, PLEASE INCLUDE: 1. A link to view your portfolio, website, or live links to published posts you personally executed (with notes on what your role was in creating each post), including examples of short-form video edits (Reels/TikToks/Shorts) and multi-slide graphic carousels you designed. 2. Your proposed monthly project rate for the monthly deliverables listed in the contract opportunity description above.
