Our flagship product is a web novel platform that showcases original fantasy, imaginative narratives, and creator-driven stories. We are leveraging AI-powered short-form video and visuals to rapidly grow a passionate, engaged community of readers and writers. We’re looking for a creative, proactive Social Media Manager who excels at using AI tools to produce high-volume, high-quality content while personally nurturing our audience through thoughtful replies and community building. This is a hands-on, results-driven role where your output and engagement skills directly fuel our growth. Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Posting (Core Deliverable) Video Content (3 focused days per week): Conceptualize, generate, edit, caption, and schedule compelling short-form videos (15–60 seconds) optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Content pillars include book trailers, chapter teasers, author spotlights, reading motivation, behind-the-scenes, trend participation, and platform feature highlights. Static & Visual Content (2 focused days per week): Create eye-catching carousels, quote graphics, infographics, slides, and photo-based posts using AI design tools. Maintain strong visual consistency and storytelling across the feed. Use advanced AI tools for ideation, generation, and editing while adding human creative direction, brand voice, and quality control so content feels authentic and premium. Audience Engagement & Inquiry Management Actively monitor comments, DMs, and mentions across platforms. Respond promptly, professionally, warmly, and on-brand to inquiries from interested readers, writers, and fans. Qualify and nurture leads — answer questions about novels, chapters, unlocks, monetization, and platform features, and guide users toward sign-ups, reading, or deeper engagement. Maintain excellent response times and high positive sentiment. Strategy, Planning & Optimization Build and maintain a weekly content calendar aligned with novel releases, cultural moments, trending audio, and business priorities. Track and analyze performance metrics (views, watch time, engagement rate, saves, shares, profile visits, link clicks, and inquiry-to-action conversion). Provide simple weekly reports with insights and recommendations for what’s working. Continuously test hooks, formats, captions, and posting times to improve reach and conversion. Collaborate with the founder and creative team on campaigns, new novel launches, and feedback loops from the community. Requirements Must-Have Proven track record of growing social media presence for startups, creators, brands, or personal projects. You must submit a portfolio showing: Links to 1–3 social accounts or pages you have managed or significantly grown. Specific examples of video and static content you created (especially AI-assisted), with performance metrics (e.g., “This Reel reached 120K views and drove 850 profile visits”). Evidence of using AI tools in your workflow. Before/after growth data or case studies are highly valued. Strong proficiency with AI content tools, including: Video generation/editing: CapCut (AI features), Runway, Kling AI, Luma Dream Machine, InVideo, Pika, or equivalent. Image & design: Midjourney, Flux, Leonardo.AI, Ideogram, Canva Magic Studio, or similar. Copy & ideation: Advanced prompting with ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or similar LLMs. Excellent written communication skills — you can write scroll-stopping captions and handle community replies with warmth, clarity, and professionalism. Self-motivated, highly organized, and reliable. You consistently meet deadlines and maintain a steady posting rhythm without close supervision. Reliable high-speed internet and access to the necessary AI tools and devices. Nice-to-Have Experience with web novel, Wattpad, Webtoon, or storytelling platforms. Familiarity with African literature, fantasy, or diaspora audiences. Basic traditional video editing skills to polish AI outputs. Experience running paid social or simple analytics reporting. Compensation Structure This is a performance-oriented contract role designed to reward real impact: Base retainer: $65 USD Performance bonuses: Additional earnings tied to clear, mutually agreed KPIs such as: Follower growth (net new followers or % growth) Content performance (average views, engagement rate, completion rate) Community health (response time, inquiry volume, and conversion to sign-ups/reads) Consistency and creativity/quality benchmarks Bonuses are structured so that strong performers can significantly increase their total earnings.
