Brand Context DocVites is a pediatrician-founded, USDA Certified Organic children's supplement brand built by Dr. Fred A. Tega, MD, FAAP — a board-certified pediatrician with over 20 years of clinical experience. Our mission is simple: give every child the cleanest, most effective nutritional foundation from birth through graduation. We are in the final stage of pre-launch. Our Shopify store is built, our Klaviyo email flows are live, and our influencer program is already generating creator partnerships. What we need now is a Social Media Manager who can build and run our owned channels from the ground up — positioning Dr. Tega as a trusted pediatric authority and DocVites as the gold standard in children's nutrition. Engagement Structure & Budget This role is structured in two phases. We want to find the right long-term partner — not a one-time contractor. Phase 1 is a paid sprint that lets us evaluate fit before committing to an ongoing relationship. Phase Duration Budget Scope Phase 1 — Pre-Launch Sprint 30 days $300–$500 fixed Profile setup, 30-day content calendar, 12+ posts, weekly reports Phase 2 — Ongoing Retainer Monthly, post-launch $300–$500/month Sustained content, customer engagement, UGC amplification, monthly reporting Phase 2 is confirmed at the end of Phase 1 based on performance, communication quality, and content results. Strong performers will be offered the retainer automatically — there is no re-hiring process. Candidates who are only available for a one-time project should not apply. 4. Scope of Work PHASE 1 — Pre-Launch Sprint (Days 1–30) Profile & Channel Setup (Week 1) • Audit and complete all four platform profiles (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) • Ensure brand consistency across profile photos, bios, cover art, CTAs, and contact info • Confirm all links, email addresses, and Shop Now buttons are correctly configured Content Strategy • Develop a 30-day pre-launch content calendar aligned to the DocVites launch timeline • Theme-based weekly content: brand story, education, product reveal, launch countdown • Platform-native adaptation: Reels for Instagram, Shorts for YouTube, native TikTok format Content Creation (Full Execution) • Write all captions, hooks, CTAs, and carousel copy in DocVites brand voice • Design all graphics, carousels, and visual assets using brand colors and guidelines provided • Produce or coordinate short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) — minimum 3 per week • Source or direct UGC-style content concepts for Dr. Tega to record on camera (scripts provided) Campaign Landing Pages • Design and build external campaign landing pages (Carrd, Beacons, Linktree Pro, or equivalent) — not on Shopify • Pages must be on-brand, mobile-optimized, and link directly into the DocVites Shopify store • Use cases: product launch pages, waitlist capture, influencer campaign hubs, seasonal promotions • DocVites Shopify store is managed separately — no Shopify access required or granted for this role Scheduling, Publishing & Engagement • Schedule and publish all content across all four platforms at optimal times • Use a scheduling tool of your choice (Later, Buffer, Metricool, or equivalent) • Cross-post Instagram content to Facebook and repurpose Reels to TikTok and YouTube Shorts • Respond to all comments and DMs within 24 hours in brand voice • Engage authentically in relevant Facebook parenting groups as DocVites Reporting • Weekly report: reach, engagement, follower growth, top-performing posts per platform • 30-day Phase 1 performance summary submitted before Phase 2 confirmation PHASE 2 — Ongoing Monthly Retainer (Post-Launch) Sustained Content & Publishing • Minimum 12–16 posts per month across all four platforms • Ongoing short-form video production — minimum 3 per week • Seasonal and campaign-based content tied to product promotions and launch milestones UGC Amplification • Coordinate with DocVites influencer team (Shikha Patel, UGC Lead) to repurpose creator content • Reshare, remix, and amplify high-performing UGC across owned channels • Maintain a running UGC content library organized by product and age group Community & Customer Engagement • Respond to all customer comments, reviews, and DMs within 24 hours • Monitor brand mentions and hashtags across all platforms • Identify and flag repeat customers or advocates for deeper engagement Reporting • Monthly performance report: growth, engagement, top content, platform benchmarks • Quarterly review with Dr. Tega to assess strategy and adjust content direction 5. Deliverable Targets Phase 1 — 30-Day Pre-Launch Sprint Deliverable Target Posts published across all platforms Minimum 12 posts (4 per major platform) Short-form videos (Reels/TikTok/Shorts) Minimum 8–12 across platforms Profile setup complete All 4 platforms fully dressed by end of Week 1 Weekly performance reports 4 reports (one per week) Follower growth Measurable lift from zero baseline — trajectory matters more than raw count Engagement rate target Instagram 3%+, TikTok 5%+, YouTube Shorts 4%+ Phase 2 — Monthly Retainer (Post-Launch) Deliverable Target Posts per month across all platforms Minimum 12–16 posts Short-form videos per month Minimum 12 (3/week) UGC pieces repurposed Minimum 4/month from creator pipeline DM/comment response time Within 24 hours, 7 days a week Monthly performance report Delivered by the 3rd of each month 6. Ideal Candidate Profile • 3+ years managing social media for a DTC, wellness, supplement, or parenting brand • Proven portfolio of high-performing Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts — must show results, not just aesthetics • Strong graphic design skills (Canva Pro or equivalent) with brand-consistent visual output • Experience building external campaign landing pages (Carrd, Beacons, Linktree Pro, or similar tools) • Excellent English copywriting — warm, confident, science-informed, never sensationalist • Understands FDA and FTC guidelines around supplement claims and stays within compliant language • Works independently with minimal oversight; communicates proactively on Upwork in writing • Experience with physician-founded or clinically-positioned brands is a strong plus 7.
