Summary

Utah Home Supply is a contractor-owned building material warehouse in Salt Lake City. We stock cabinets (white shaker + stained birch are our highest-margin focus), MDF baseboards, casing, doors, LVP flooring, and trim. Our customers are contractors, landlords, flippers, and homeowner-DIYers — anyone tired of big-box markup and 6-week special orders. We have a working Marketing Tracker, established brand voice, Junga scheduling platform, and a watermarked photo library. We’re now looking to bring on a Social Media Manager who can own the channel end-to-end. The Role: You’ll drive our Google Business Profile and Facebook presence across three dimensions — strategy, content, execution. This is not a “post and forget” role and it’s not a write-only role. You’ll think about what we should be saying, write or refine the message, get it in front of me for approval, then make it live. Scope of Work: Strategy (~20% of time) • Build a rolling 30-60 day content calendar prioritizing white shaker + stained birch cabinet sales, with secondary pushes on baseboards, LVP, and trim packages • Identify campaign opportunities (seasonal pushes, new inventory drops, customer story moments, holiday timing) • Track what’s working (engagement, profile views, click-throughs, inbound texts) and adjust the next batch • Recommend creative angles and content types based on performance data • Bring outside perspective — we don’t want a yes-person; if you think our positioning is missing something, say so Content (~50% of time) • Draft GBP and Facebook captions in our established voice (direct, contractor-to-contractor, anti-big-box, Hormozi-style direct response — we’ll share examples) • Optimize captions for each platform’s rules (GBP doesn’t allow phone numbers in body, FB does, etc.) • Match captions with photos from our labeled Drive library • Submit drafts for my approval before scheduling • Refine based on feedback — first pass should be 80% ready Execution (~30% of time) • Load approved drafts into Junga and the Marketing Tracker • Schedule posts at optimal times for our audience • Monitor for posts rejected by GBP and rewrite/resubmit • Update the Marketing Tracker (single source of truth) as posts move Draft → Scheduled → Posted • Respond to or flag inbound comments and DMs for me/Jerry to handle What I’ll Provide: • Working Marketing Tracker Google Doc (already built) • 60-Day Marketing Plan Google Sheet (already started with ~20 posts drafted) • Watermarked photo library organized in a labeled Google Drive folder • Established brand voice + examples of what’s worked and what’s been rejected • Junga platform access and walkthrough • Read access to Shopify product data and inventory • Weekly check-in calls (15-30 min) Required Skills: • 2+ years of social media management experience for businesses • Strong copywriting — direct, plain-spoken, sales-driven (not corporate filler) • Google Business Profile content rules (rejected post policies, local SEO formatting, CTA buttons) • Facebook business page best practices • Comfort with social scheduling platforms (Junga, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout — Junga has a light learning curve) • Data-aware — you read engagement reports and adjust strategy, not just count likes • Reliable communication and weekly status updates Nice to Have: • Construction, home improvement, or trades industry background • Local SEO experience (Salt Lake City specifically a bonus) • Direct-response copywriting experience (Hormozi-style, value-stacking, problem-agitation-solution) • Light photo editing / selection eye • Experience expanding into email and SMS marketing (we’ll likely add Phase 2) Phase 2 (if first 60-90 days work well): • Email marketing campaigns to existing contractor + homeowner list • SMS marketing for in-stock drops and urgent inventory pushes • Paid boost strategy for top-performing organic posts • Customer review / testimonial pipeline buildout How to Apply: In your proposal, please include: 1. Your experience with GBP and Facebook content for businesses (years + specific examples — links if possible) 2. Two example posts you’ve written for a construction, home services, or trades client (or close-adjacent industry) 3. Familiarity with Junga or similar AI-assisted scheduling platforms 4. One sample GBP-compliant post written FOR THIS PROJECT — pick any product from our list (cabinets, baseboard, LVP, doors, trim) and write a ~600-character post following GBP rules (no phone in body, local SEO friendly, clear CTA). This 5-minute effort filters out generic mass-pitch applicants 5. A brief paragraph (3-4 sentences) describing how you’d approach a 60-day content strategy focused on selling cabinets + flooring + trim without sounding repetitive 6. Your proposed pricing structure — hourly or project rate — and weekly availability 7. Availability for a 20-minute video call to walk through the platform and current state Timeline: Start within 1-2 weeks. 2-week paid trial first — you’ll draft and execute ~10-15 posts, attend one strategy call, deliver one weekly report. If the trial works, we move to the full ongoing engagement. One important note for candidates: We work fast and we don’t do corporate filler. If you write “let’s leverage synergies” we’re not the right fit. We sell building materials to contractors. The voice is direct, confident, specific. The work is real money on the line. The right person here will love that.
