Part-Time Social Media Manager for Brooklyn Birth Shop (Doula & Childbirth Education Business) Description Brooklyn Birth Shop is a childbirth education and doula support space in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. We help expecting families feel prepared, supported, and empowered through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum through classes, doula care, and community events. We're looking for a part-time social media manager to grow and manage our Instagram presence (and support other platforms as needed). This is an ongoing role, roughly 5–10 hours/week. What you'll do - Plan and schedule a consistent posting calendar (educational content, event promo, behind-the-scenes, testimonials) - Write captions that feel warm, personal, and rooted in real birth experience -not corporate or clinical - Design or adapt graphics/reels using our brand aesthetic-is real life photos of city life and family. Not labor photos/birth - Track engagement and suggest what's working - Occasionally attend events (Doula Dad Workshop, Birth Shop Nights) to capture content What we're looking for - Experience with Instagram growth and content strategy (Reels experience a big plus) - Comfortable writing in a warm, human, non-salesy voice - Bonus: experience in birth work, doula support, postpartum, women's health, or wellness spaces - Bonus: local to NYC / able to occasionally shoot content in-person in Bay Ridge Please share 2–3 examples of social content you've created (ideally in health, wellness, or parenting spaces) and your typical turnaround time for a week's worth of content
