Yamato To Go is a Japanese café and takeaway in Rotorua, New Zealand — fresh sushi, sando, bento, coffee and desserts, made daily. We're a small, growing local business looking for consistent, high-quality social media support so we can focus on running the café. Join Yamato To Go as a Social Media Manager. You'll create engaging content, manage our social media presence, and develop strategies to enhance our online visibility. Collaborate with our team to ensure our brand's voice is consistent and appealing to our audience. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for social media trends. What we need: - Manage and grow our Instagram (and ideally Facebook) - Turn raw photos/video we provide (and occasional on-site filming) into short-form Reels and posts - Post 3-5x per week on a consistent schedule - Write captions in a warm, simple tone that fits a calm, handmade Japanese café brand (not corporate, not gimmicky) - Track basic performance (saves, shares, follower growth) and suggest what's working - Comfortable with food/hospitality content — bonus if you've worked with cafes or restaurants before What we'll provide: - Brand assets (logo, color palette, fonts) - Product photography (ongoing) - Menu and offer information as it changes weekly Who you are: - Experienced running social for a small business or hospitality brand - Can work independently with light weekly check-ins - Based in a similar timezone preferred (NZ/Pacific) but not required - Portfolio or examples of past food/hospitality social work required This is ongoing part-time work, starting immediately.
