Social Media Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a creative, independent, and enthusiastic Social Media Marketing Manager to help us grow an early-stage marketplace SaaS platform. The platform is similar to Upwork in the sense that it connects two sides of a marketplace. We need someone who understands how to create content that speaks to both individual users and businesses, builds trust, and drives signups. This is a hands-on role. We’re looking for someone who can take direction, but also bring ideas, move quickly, and help us figure out what works. The right person will be creative, self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment. What we need help with: Creating social media content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant platforms Creating images, short reels, videos, graphics, and other content assets Writing captions and post copy that feel clear, engaging, and not overly corporate Helping build and manage a simple content calendar Creating content that explains what the platform does and why people should use it Coming up with campaign ideas to drive awareness, signups, and engagement Creating and helping manage Facebook and LinkedIn ad campaigns Testing different angles, hooks, visuals, and messaging Repurposing existing brand ideas, founder updates, product details, FAQs, and announcements into social content Tracking what performs well and making recommendations based on results Who we’re looking for: Independent, creative, self-motivated, and enthusiastic Strong experience with Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social platforms Experience creating both organic content and paid campaigns Comfortable creating simple but polished graphics, short videos, reels, and other marketing assets Strong writing skills Good eye for design and brand consistency Comfortable working with an early-stage startup where things move quickly Able to bring ideas to the table instead of waiting for every instruction Reliable, organized, responsive, and easy to work with Nice to have: Experience with marketplace SaaS, HR tech, recruiting, healthcare, professional platforms, or startup marketing Experience creating and managing Facebook and LinkedIn ad campaigns Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar tools AI experience is a plus, but we do not want someone who relies on AI for everything Experience doing outreach to potential users, community members, creators, or partners Experience helping early-stage companies grow from launch We already have the platform, branding, website, and core messaging in place. We need someone who can help turn that into consistent, creative marketing that drives real awareness and signups. This will hopefully become a long-term part of our team. If the person is reliable, effective, creative, and easy to work with, we would love to continue working together long term.
