Social Media Specialist for Travel/Insurtech Company

Sensible Weather is the leading Weather Guarantee provider for the travel and hospitality industry — we partner with hotels, campgrounds, ski resorts, golf courses, and more to reimburse travelers when bad weather disrupts their trip or experience. We're looking for a social media specialist to take ownership of our Instagram content (TikTok possible too) starting immediately. This is an idea-to-execution role: you'll pitch post concepts, get quick sign-off from our team, then shoot/edit and publish. We need someone who can both come up with the ideas and make the content — not just schedule what we hand you. What you'll do: - Build a content calendar and pitch post concepts (Reels, carousels, Stories, static posts) - Get lightweight approval from our team before publishing - Write captions and produce/edit short-form video and visuals - Publish and manage day-to-day posting on Instagram (TikTok if we expand scope) - Track basic performance and suggest what to double down on - Keep an eye on trends relevant to travel, outdoors, and weather content What we're looking for: - A track record running Instagram for a brand or small business (TikTok experience a plus) — please include links/portfolio - Strong short-form video creation and editing skills - Can generate ideas independently and write in a warm, human brand voice - Reliable, responsive, comfortable with a regular posting cadence - Nice to have: travel, outdoor, hospitality, insurance/fintech, or climate-related content experience To apply, please include: - A few links or a portfolio of social content you've created/managed - Your availability
