Social Media design
Worldwide
I run Planning Paths, a family care and legacy planning practice. I need a designer to build a set of reusable, on-brand social media templates in Canva that I and my team can use to produce ongoing content ourselves. This is a template-system project, not a one-off graphics gig. The goal is that when we're done, I can drop in a photo and a headline and get a polished, magazine-quality post every time. The aesthetic I'm after Think editorial restraint — the look and feel of Town & Country or J.P. Morgan Private Bank's social content. Rich, soft, refined, and calm. Real photography doing the emotional work, generous white space, elegant type, and a single quiet accent color rather than loud graphics. The audience is affluent professionals in their 40s–60s, so it needs to feel high-end and trustworthy, never busy or clip-art-y. I want people to feel calm and cared for, not alarmed. It needs to read high end and professiona I have a clear reference for the direction: full-bleed photography with a soft gradient overlay, text sitting on the image, a serif headline, and the logo placed quietly in the corner. I'll share comps and examples with strong candidates. What you'll build A master Canva template set (roughly 5–8 layouts) sized 1080×1350 for Instagram, adaptable to LinkedIn and Facebook Layouts including: photo-hero with text overlay, a quote/statement card, a checklist/steps card, a stat card, and a multi-slide carousel structure Everything set up as reusable templates I can duplicate and edit myself — proper use of a Canva Brand Kit (my colors, fonts, and logos loaded in) Clear guidance on photo treatment (where images sit, how the overlay works) so non-designers on my side can maintain the look Brand assets I'll provide Logo files (color, reversed, and transparent versions) Brand colors: deep teal, green, gold, and cream Fonts: a clean sans (Inter) for body and a refined serif for headlines Reference comps showing the exact treatment I want Sample copy and photography direction You're a strong fit if you Have a portfolio showing editorial or premium brand work — restraint and typography, not busy templates Are genuinely fluent in Canva, including Brand Kits, gradients/overlays, and building templates others can reuse Understand type hierarchy, spacing, and how to make text readable over photography Can work within an existing brand rather than imposing your own style Communicate clearly and hit deadlines Nice to have Experience designing for financial services, wellness, healthcare, or a similarly trust-driven category An eye for sourcing or directing warm, candid lifestyle photography To apply Please share (1) 2–3 portfolio pieces that show this editorial/premium sensibility, (2) a sentence or two on how you'd approach making a Canva template genuinely reusable for a non-designer, and (3) your rate and availability for on going work. Applications without relevant portfolio samples won't be considered.
