Soft Goods Technical Designer

I am looking for an experienced technical designer to produce production-ready 3D geometry and 2D flat cutting patterns for a premium children's toy / experience The product must include material shaped around a fibreglass or hard plastic frame. The primary wall material is optical-grade TPU film (similar to high-end technical luggage or inflatable product construction). The key challenge is accurately flattening the dome panel geometry into cut-ready 2D templates that tension cleanly over the frame with no puckering or excess material. For delivery: * 3D model of the geometry exported as .STEP, .SAT, or .3DM * 2D flat cutting patterns for all panels with material compensation, exported as .DXF or .DWG * Panel seam allowances and join sequence noted on drawings You're a good fit if you have experience with: * Tent, canopy or dome geometry, specifically geodesic or hub-and-pole structures * TPU, PVC or coated film materials (not just woven fabric) * Producing flat-pattern outputs for a CMT or factory * Rhinoceros 3D (with Kangaroo, Panelling Tools, or similar), CLO3D, Optitex or equiv To apply: Send a brief note on your relevant experience plus one example showing how you've taken a 3D curved structure to production-ready 2D flat patterns.
