Software Engineer Mentor for CS Student Learning AI-Assisted Development

I’m a computer science student looking for a software engineer who can mentor me as I grow into a stronger developer. I want regular guidance on using AI tools responsibly and effectively while writing real code. I also want help choosing, planning, and building portfolio projects that show my problem-solving ability, technical judgment, and willingness to learn. I’m looking for someone who can: - Meet with me weekly by video call for about 1 to 3 hours per week - Explain concepts clearly and patiently - Help me break projects into manageable steps - Review my code and give direct, useful feedback - Teach me how to use AI coding tools without relying on them blindly - Help me understand debugging, testing, GitHub, project structure, APIs, databases, and deployment - Suggest portfolio projects that are realistic, useful, and strong enough to discuss in job interviews - Push me to think through decisions instead of handing me answers I’m especially interested in learning how experienced engineers approach a problem, decide what to build first, and turn an idea into a finished project.
