Software Engineer

This is a back end project involving taking an existing application built in Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle that currently runs on-premises and moving it to Azure. As part of the migration, the application will be rewritten and modernized using .NET and SQL Server. The main focus is cloud migration, application refactoring, and converting the technology stack to Microsoft technologies. must be able to work EST hours We are seeking someone who can bridge the gap between business and technology, help deliver software solutions, and has strong experience with the Microsoft technology stack—particularly Azure, .NET, and SQL Server. Lead and support systems analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and implementation for complex applications. Serve as a senior individual contributor on small to large-scale projects and coordinate development activities. Maintain strong expertise in supported applications and business processes. Develop technical specifications, project plans, estimates, and system documentation. Review work completed by junior team members and provide technical guidance and leadership. Collaborate with development, operations, business teams, vendors, and senior management throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure application performance, reliability, and adherence to development standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend new technologies to support business objectives. Lead or participate in vendor evaluations, due diligence efforts, and cost/benefit analyses as needed. Manage project activities, monitor progress, and provide backup support to leadership when required. Support the migration of an existing on-premises Java Spring Boot and Oracle Exadata application to Azure, including refactoring to .NET and Microsoft SQL Server.
