Software Engineer

Title: Senior Backend Engineer — Pre-Launch Stability & Reliability Review + On-Call Production Support (FastAPI / Supabase) What you'll do Review the codebase for production-readiness: reliability, security, data integrity, error handling, rate limiting, and cost controls Check that the app is properly tested — improve or add tests where it actually matters Help harden it for launch, then be on-call for occasional production issues afterward (not constant work) Make small, well-explained changes through a clean pull-request workflow Stack Backend: Python / FastAPI on Render DB: Postgres / Supabase (row-level security) iOS: SwiftUI · Auth/payments: Supabase Auth (JWT), Apple IAP AI APIs: Anthropic / Voyage · Monitoring: Sentry Required Senior, production-grade backend experience (Python/FastAPI or equivalent) Strong Postgres, API design, and security fundamentals (auth, secrets management, row-level access, rate limiting) Track record getting apps production-ready and diagnosing live issues Real testing discipline Clear communicator, comfortable with PR review and least-privilege access Nice to have Supabase · Render · iOS/SwiftUI · Apple IAP · LLM API integration · consumer or health-tech apps In 2–3 sentences: how would you quickly assess whether a FastAPI + Supabase app is production-ready? For comp, since we are bootstrapped, the beginning stages will require minimal work in excahnge for a profit sharing model.
