Software Tester in Japan

This opportunity is part of a trusted partnership between Testlio, a global testing and user research company, and Persona, our client. Testlio specializes in helping leading brands understand how people use their products through feedback from real users. Persona is an Identity Verification service that processes personal information for software testing of identity verification functionalities, which includes government-issued identification detail, and biometric data such as facial scans. This processing is based on explicit consent from the data subject and is used to ensure accurate and secure operation of the software while complying with regulatory requirements. Why You Are Here We're looking for freelance software testers located in Japan to join a short-term project in which we will be testing our client's app. More specifically, we will be testing our client's ID verification technology. What to Expect 1. To start with, we will be asking you to create an account on our website, Testlio. Here, you'll be able to get in touch with our testing team and access the project details, such as the documentation and the task list you will have to follow as part of the software testing flow. - This process takes approximately 30 minutes. 2. Once your account is set up, we will connect you with the testing team to begin actually testing the Persona app. - testing the persona app can take approximately 1.5h. We may have more than 1 task for you to complete, depending on the initial results. What You need: - You must be 18 or older to participate - You have Passport with an NFC chip issued by Japan between 2006 - 2019 (expired or non-expired works) - You must have at least one NFC compatible Android device and a second mobile or tablet device that you are able to record video on - For Android, search your device Settings for NFC and verify it NFC can be enabled. - You will need a secondary device such as a mobile phone or table with which to record. Built-in laptop cameras are not eligible. What Happens Next - You'll need to answer a few initial questions as part of your Upwork proposal bid - To further ensure that you're a good fit for this study, we'll expand the questions via messages. - If selected, you'll be asked to create an account on our website. We will give you a link to get started. - Once your account is set up, we will add you to the Persona Project. We will also put you in direct contact with the Persona Testing Team so you can discuss the project details directly with them. - Testers who successfully participate in the first testing task will also receive a $15 flat bonus payment!
