Solar Plan Set Designer Needed - Residential PV + Battery Storage (Carson, CA Permit)
Worldwide
I need a complete residential solar plan set drafted for a City of Carson, California building permit submission. This is for a real, in-progress installation — equipment is already purchased and on-site. System overview: - 18 solar panels, 595-620W each, Mono/N-TOPCON bifacial (~10.8-11.2kW DC) - 12kW hybrid inverter, 120/240V split phase, WiFi monitoring, 2 MPPT inputs - 2x LiFePO4 batteries, 48V 200Ah each (9.6kWh each, 19.2kWh total) - PV combiner box and battery combiner box - Mounting on asphalt shingle roof (house roof only, not an accessory structure) What I can provide you: - Full manufacturer spec sheets for all equipment (panels, inverter, batteries, combiner boxes) - An EagleView "Advanced for Solar" shade/roof analysis report with precise roof facet measurements, pitches, azimuths, and shading (TSRF) data per section - Prior City of Carson-approved permit plans for the property (ADU conversion, interior electrical work) with site plan/plot plan elements - Photos and measurements of the proposed battery/inverter exterior wall mounting location - Written correspondence from the City of Carson Building Official confirming permit fee structure, PE stamp requirements, and battery placement code sections (R330.5-R330.8) Deliverables needed: 1. Site plan showing roof layout, panel placement, and setbacks 2. Roof plan showing fire department access pathways (CRC R324.6 compliant — 3 ft clear pathways) 3. Single-line electrical diagram (panels → combiner → inverter → battery → main panel → utility meter) with rapid shutdown (NEC 690.12) clearly documented 4. Panel layout prioritizing the highest-production roof sections per the attached shade report 5. Battery/inverter placement plan reflecting California Residential Code R330.5-R330.8 clearances (exterior wall mount, 3+ ft from windows, capacity table compliance) 6. Equipment/panel schedule and required labeling per NEC 690 7. All documents in PDF format, ready for submission through Carson's Tyler permitting portal Notes: - Per the city, this system does NOT require a PE-stamped structural plan since mounting is on the primary dwelling roof (not an accessory structure) — please confirm this applies and note it on the plan set. - Rapid shutdown compliance should be documented with a direct citation to the inverter spec sheet. Please include in your proposal: relevant experience with CA residential solar/battery permit plan sets, typical turnaround time, and whether you can work directly from the attached EagleView report to generate the layout.
