Solution needed for titanium mesh cartridge filter

We're basically working on a new type of cartridge filter that will use pleated titanium mesh for the filter media. Like a standard cartridge filter, it will consist of an inner core with a pair of end caps on the top and bottom to hold the pleats together; however, because of the nature of the industry it will be used in, we will not be able to use adhesive to seal the end caps to the pleats. The end caps and inner core will also need to be made (at least mostly) from plastic in order to keep the unit cost and weight to a minimum, so we've found ourselves at a bit of an impasse. I've included the CAD model of the filter below for reference. Please let me to know if you have any ideas for how we can design around the adhesive problem.
