Summary

We are seeking a skilled full-stack developer to rebuild and migrate our existing Joomla website to WordPress. The project involves redesigning the site to enhance user experience and ensure mobile responsiveness. The ideal candidate will have experience in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong understanding of WordPress and Joomla platforms. The goal is to create a visually appealing and functional website that aligns with our brand identity. # WordPress Developer Needed for Joomla Migration, Multi-Region Setup and Lead Integrations ## Project Overview Solux is looking for an experienced WordPress developer or small specialist team to professionally rebuild and migrate our existing website from Joomla to WordPress. The current website is approximately three years old and uses a module-based Joomla setup. As our marketing needs grow—including blogging, SEO, lead generation, new tools and integrations—the current website has become difficult and expensive to maintain. Our goal is to build a fast, secure and maintainable WordPress platform that gives the Solux team full autonomy over routine website management. This is not a simple page-copying project. We need a professionally structured WordPress implementation with reusable templates, structured product and project content, multi-region architecture, SEO preservation and complete handover. Website: `solux.fr` ## Core Requirement: Solux Must Be Independent After handover, our internal team must be able to manage routine work without developer support, including: * Creating and editing pages * Publishing blog articles * Adding and updating products * Adding and updating projects * Updating banners and menus * Uploading technical documents * Editing SEO titles and descriptions * Managing regional content * Managing approved plugins We want to avoid the problems experienced with a previous WordPress build, including generic themes, plugin conflicts, inconsistent spacing, broken responsive layouts and incomplete multilingual functionality. The solution should use: * A professionally structured custom or adapted theme * Gutenberg full-site editing or another approved flexible editor * Reusable templates and structured fields * A curated and minimal plugin set * Professional multilingual and multi-region tools * No pirated, nulled or unauthorised themes or plugins ## Project Scope The quotation should be divided into the following three sections. ### Section A — Core Joomla-to-WordPress Migration This section includes: * Audit of the current Joomla website * Full backup of website files and database * Migration inventory and URL mapping * WordPress installation and staging setup * Rebuild of the current Solux visual style * Responsive header, footer and navigation * Homepage with editable sliding banners * Interactive product carousel * Product category, range and detail templates * Technology page * Company/About page * Study Lab page * Projects listing and project-detail pages * Structured, CMS-managed products and projects * Migration of approved content, images, media and technical documents * Contact form * SEO preservation * 301 redirects * Sitemap, canonical and schema setup * Performance and security configuration * Cross-device testing * Production launch * Training and documentation * Complete account and licence handover * 30-day post-launch warranty ### Section B — Multi-Region Architecture The website must support three independently managed regional experiences: 1. English / International 2. Africa / French 3. France / French These are not mirrored translations. Each region may have different: * Products * Projects * Pages * Articles * Banners * Documents * Storytelling * Calls to action * SEO metadata The selected developer must propose and explain the best architecture, such as: * WordPress Multisite * WPML with independent regional content * Another suitable professional approach This section includes: * Architecture recommendation * Independent regional content management * Regional product and project visibility * Globe or region switcher * Regional navigation * Independent regional SEO * Regional sitemaps and canonical strategy * Cross-region and cross-language QA * Training for regional content management ### Section C — Blog, Lead Generation and Integrations This section includes: * Native WordPress blog * Blog listing and article templates * Categories and keyword search * Related articles * Newsletter signup * Regional article visibility * Contact form with required Country field * Gated technical-sheet downloads * Lead capture and storage * Back-office lead view * CSV export * Country and regional lead routing * Mailchimp or Brevo integration * JivoChat integration * Form and integration testing * Training for blog, forms, leads and integrations The blog and selected integrations may be phased separately if this improves delivery quality or timeline. ## SEO Requirements The migration must preserve existing SEO value. The selected developer will be expected to: * Preserve existing URLs where practical * Prepare an old-to-new URL mapping * Configure direct 301 redirects * Preserve or improve page titles and meta descriptions * Configure Yoast SEO, Rank Math or an approved equivalent * Configure XML sitemaps * Configure robots.txt * Configure canonical URLs * Configure regional and language SEO * Configure appropriate `hreflang` * Add basic organisation, breadcrumb, product and article schema * Fix migrated internal links * Check broken links and unexpected 404 errors * Reconnect Google Analytics and Search Console * Submit the production sitemaps after launch Applicants must have real experience with SEO-sensitive website migrations. ## Technical Requirements The completed website must be: * Fully responsive * Performance-optimised * Secure * SSL-enabled * Cache-enabled * CDN-ready * Backed up automatically * Easy to maintain * Compatible with current major browsers * Built using a minimal and documented plugin set Hosting will be reviewed separately. Please include your recommended hosting requirements and any expected third-party licence costs. ## Testing and Quality Assurance The developer must complete: * Manual testing of all main templates * Testing across English, Africa/French and France/French regions * Desktop, tablet and mobile testing * Form and email-delivery testing * Region-switcher testing * Gated-download testing * Lead-storage and export testing * Mailchimp/Brevo testing * JivoChat testing * Automated or systematic crawl of all known migrated URLs * Redirect testing * Broken-link and 404 checks * Canonical, sitemap and indexability checks * Performance checks on representative pages ## Deliverables and Handover The final handover must include: * Production WordPress website * Staging website * Migrated approved content * Structured product and project system * Multi-region architecture * Blog * Forms and lead-generation system * Integrations * URL mapping and redirects * Administrator access * Hosting and DNS access * Plugin and licence register * Source files and custom code * Basic technical documentation * Content-management instructions * One live training session of approximately 1.5–2 hours * List of recurring costs and renewal dates * 30-day post-launch warranty All essential accounts, licences and project assets must remain under Solux ownership. ## Required Experience Please apply only if you have demonstrated experience with several of the following: * Joomla-to-WordPress migration * WordPress Multisite * WPML * Custom or professionally structured WordPress themes * Gutenberg block development * Structured products and custom post types * Technical SEO migrations * Large-scale URL redirects * Mailchimp or Brevo integrations * Gated downloads and lead capture * Responsive and multilingual QA * WordPress security and performance optimisation ## Proposal Instructions Please include: 1.
