Good News Malaysia is looking for Country Content Sourcers for Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. The main responsibility is to source positive, uplifting and inspiring stories from local social media platforms, news pages, community pages and public sources, then submit suitable stories into Asana for review. The sourcer should also be familiar with Canva for light thumbnail editing, scheduling approved posts, and updating the Google Sheet for tracking. Main Responsibilities: 1. Source Good News Stories Find suitable stories from the assigned country, such as: - Acts of kindness - Inspiring people - Community stories - Education and youth achievements - Sports achievements - Animal rescue or heartwarming stories - Local heroes - Tourism, culture or lifestyle stories - Viral positive stories 2. Submit Stories in Asana Each story should be uploaded into Asana for review and approval. The Asana task should include: - Story title - Source link - Country - Category - Short summary - Why this is good news - Available photo or video source - Notes on any sensitive issue or permission concern 3. Basic Canva Support The sourcer should be able to use Canva for light editing, such as: - Cropping or resizing images - Adding simple text overlays - Preparing simple thumbnails - Adjusting basic layout based on existing templates - Exporting visuals in the required format 4. Schedule Approved Posts After the story, caption and thumbnail are approved in Asana, the sourcer will schedule the post for publishing using the assigned scheduling tool. This may include: - Uploading the approved visual or video - Adding the approved caption - Selecting the correct platform - Setting the scheduled publish date and time - Checking that the post is scheduled correctly 5. Update Google Sheet Tracker After the post is scheduled or published, the sourcer should update the Google Sheet tracker for record and tracking purposes. 6. Check Story Suitability Before submitting, check that the story is: - Positive and suitable for Good News content - From a reliable source - Recent or still relevant - Easy to understand - Supported by usable visuals - Free from major political, religious, racial or legal risk Required Skills The ideal candidate should be: - Based in or familiar with the assigned country - Able to read local-language content - Able to summarise stories clearly in English - Familiar with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and local news pages - Familiar with Asana or other task management tools - Familiar with Canva for light editing - Familiar with Google Sheets - Able to follow scheduling instructions - Good at online research - Detail-oriented and organised - Able to follow instructions and submit work consistently
