Source & Vet Construction Tradespeople

We are seeking a skilled professional to source and vet construction tradespeople for our projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or real estate and be able to identify qualified tradespeople. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, verifying qualifications, and ensuring candidates meet our standards. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential. I run a recruitment operation that places Mexican tradespeople with Spanish employers facing serious labor shortages. I'm looking for a Mexico-based recruiter to find, screen, and vet skilled workers and build a steady pipeline of candidates ready to work legally in Spain. This is an ongoing, long-term role with room to grow as volume increases. You won't be handling the legal side. I have both a Spanish lawyer and a Mexican lawyer supporting the business on the documentation and legality — work authorizations, compliance, and candidate paperwork. Your focus is purely sourcing and vetting great candidates; the legal team handles the rest, and you'll coordinate with them. What you'll do Source candidates in our target trades: electricians, metal/aluminium/PVC carpenters and fitters, crane operators, general construction workers, and agricultural workers. Screen for real, verifiable trade experience — coordinate or run practical/technical assessments and video interviews. Assess seriousness and fit: genuine willingness to relocate to Spain, reliability, clean background, and commitment to the full process. Explain the opportunity clearly and honestly — the role, pay and conditions, the process, the timeline, and that it leads to legal work and residence in Spain. Help candidates begin gathering their documents (passport, federal criminal-record certificate, etc.), coordinating with our Spanish and Mexican lawyers who manage the documentation and legal process. Build and maintain an organized, pre-vetted candidate pipeline by trade. Keep clean records and communicate regularly with the Spain-side team. Required Based in Mexico, with a strong local network in construction and skilled trades. Recruiting or sourcing experience — ideally blue-collar, trades, construction, or labor migration. Native Spanish; functional English for coordination is a plus. Highly organized, trustworthy, and an excellent communicator. Commitment to ethical recruitment: candidates are NEVER charged a fee — we are paid by employers only. Anyone who charges workers will not be considered. Nice to have Experience with hiring-from-origin / sending Mexican workers abroad (H-2 programs, Canada's seasonal program, or similar). Enough hands-on trade knowledge to judge a candidate's real skill level. Contacts with trade and technical schools (e.g., CONALEP, CECATI), worker communities, or local construction firms. Engagement Ongoing, long-term. Open to discussing the structure — a base plus a performance bonus per successfully placed candidate, a retainer, or hourly — depending on your experience and preference.
