Global Procurement, Medical Products & Regulatory Compliance **Location:** Remote, Hybrid, or Contract (U.S. or International) **Employment Type:** Part-Time, or Contract ## About the Role We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager with a strong background in medical products, healthcare supply chains, and FDA-regulated environments. This individual will be responsible for identifying and managing global suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, coordinating international logistics, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has direct experience sourcing medical products, healthcare consumables, medical devices, or other regulated products and understands the quality, documentation, and compliance requirements necessary to support a healthcare-focused supply chain. ## Key Responsibilities ### Global Sourcing & Supplier Management * Source and qualify manufacturers and suppliers of medical products and healthcare-related goods. * Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and due diligence reviews. * Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times, and supply agreements. * Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics. * Establish alternate sourcing strategies to reduce supply chain risk. * Manage supplier corrective actions and quality-related issues. ### Medical Product Compliance & Regulatory Coordination * Ensure sourced products and suppliers meet applicable FDA and regulatory requirements. * Review and maintain supplier documentation including: * FDA registrations and listings * ISO 13485 certifications * Quality agreements * Product specifications * Certificates of Analysis (COA) * Certificates of Conformance (COC) * Technical files and supporting regulatory documentation * Work closely with quality, regulatory, and operations teams to support compliance initiatives. * Assist with supplier qualification and regulatory audits. ### International Logistics & Import Operations * Manage ocean, air, and ground transportation from international suppliers. * Coordinate activities with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers. * Ensure proper import documentation and customs compliance. * Monitor shipment performance and proactively resolve delays or disruptions. * Optimize freight spend, transit times, and landed costs. ### Supply Chain Optimization * Analyze landed cost by product and supplier. * Identify cost reduction opportunities in sourcing and logistics. * Track key performance indicators including: * On-time delivery * Lead times * Freight costs * Supplier quality performance * Inventory availability * Support forecasting and inventory planning efforts. ## Required Qualifications * Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or international logistics. * Direct experience sourcing **medical products, medical devices, healthcare consumables, or FDA-regulated products.** * Strong understanding of FDA regulations and regulated supply chain requirements. * Experience working with international manufacturers, particularly in Asia. * Working knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, import documentation, and international freight operations. * Experience evaluating supplier quality systems and compliance documentation. * Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. * Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and supply chain reporting. ## Preferred Qualifications * Experience with FDA-regulated medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare products. * Familiarity with ISO 13485, GMP, and quality management systems. * Experience supporting FDA inspections, audits, or supplier qualification programs. * ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.). * Customs, import/export, or supply chain certifications. ## Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and work arrangement (full-time, part-time, or contract).
