Spanish native proofreader for Shopify content

About the project We are a Dutch e-commerce company preparing the launch of our Spanish webshop in the sanitary and bathroom sector. Our assortment includes bathroom furniture, showers, shower enclosures, faucets, washbasins, toilets, mirrors, bathroom accessories, and other bathroom-related products. Currently, the entire Spanish webshop has been translated using AI tools. The webshop is not live yet, and before launch we want to ensure that all content is thoroughly reviewed, corrected, and optimized by a native Spanish copywriter. This is a substantial project involving a large amount of product content. We are looking for one experienced professional who can take ownership of reviewing and improving all Spanish content throughout the webshop. This is not just a proofreading job. We need someone who understands how to adapt product content so it sounds natural, persuasive, trustworthy, and commercially strong for Spanish-speaking customers. If we are satisfied with the quality of your work, we would like to continue working together on a long-term freelance basis as our dedicated Spanish copy editor for future content updates, product launches, and ongoing content optimization. What you’ll do * Proofread and correct AI-translated product texts directly in Shopify * Rewrite content where necessary to make it sound natural, native, and persuasive * Improve product copy for clarity, trust, readability, and conversion * Adapt terminology, phrasing, and product naming for the Spanish market * Identify and correct unnatural AI-generated wording * Ensure all content is grammatically correct and culturally relevant * Maintain consistency across product pages, collections, and other webshop content * Work directly inside Shopify (not in spreadsheets or external documents) How we work You will receive access to our Spanish Shopify store. This allows you to: * View product photos and product context * Understand the products before making content changes * Optimize product descriptions based on the actual product presentation * Better understand product features and customer expectations We believe that seeing the products and their presentation is essential for creating high-quality, conversion-focused product content.
