Spoken German Language Examiner – CEFR Assessment | Ongoing Role | Zoom
Worldwide
**Spoken German Language Assessor – Ongoing Role | Zoom | 1 Hour Per Student** Who we are: We run a German language programme for expats living in German-speaking countries — working professionals in Switzerland, Germany, or Austria who want to move beyond classroom German and actually speak in real life. Part of what makes our approach different is honesty. We show prospective students real, unfiltered snapshots of where students actually start — not polished testimonials, just natural Zoom conversations that give an accurate picture of someone’s current spoken level. If you have a genuine examining background, this is a role where your expertise is visible and genuinely matters. The work — 1 hour per student, two parts Part 1 — 30-minute conversation with the student (recorded) A relaxed, natural conversation in German — no script, no formal test format. At the end, you confirm the student’s CEFR spoken level (A1–C2). Part 2 — 30-minute debrief with us in English (recorded) A conversation between you and our team where you walk us through what you heard — the positives & student’s specific gaps, what’s holding them back, and where their spoken German actually breaks down. This helps us coach them far more precisely. The two parts can be back-to-back or split across the same day — whatever works for you. What we’re looking for: - Formal examining or assessment experience — Goethe-Institut, TestDaF, telc, Berlitz, or similar - Confident placing a speaker on the CEFR scale through natural free conversation, without a test script - Native or near-native German speaker - Warm, natural, and relaxed on camera — this is a normal Zoom call, not some perfect studio shoot - Good at putting nervous students at ease so their real German level actually comes through - Comfortable holding a clear, somewhat analytical conversation in English for the debrief What we’re not looking for: - Tutors or conversation partners - Anyone who needs a structured format to assign a level - Someone looking for a one-off job A note on recording: Both sessions are recorded via Zoom. The conversations may be used on our website and social media channels as a natural videos so that prospective students can see some previous results before joining our German coaching. Please only apply if you’re genuinely comfortable with this — it’s an important part of how we work. To apply, please include: Your examining background, the institutions you’ve worked with, and your rate per 1-hour engagement.
