Sponsorship Sales Specialist — Sell Brand Partnerships for Hip-Hop Documentary Series + Podcast
Worldwide
I run Mobb With Us, a Toronto-based media brand with two flagship properties: The Culture Files — a documentary series mapping Canadian hip-hop and Black culture city by city. The Halifax episode is complete and ready for release, with New York done and Montreal and Ottawa in production. Each episode is a cinematic, evergreen YouTube documentary featuring the artists and history of that city. The Steady Mobbin Podcast (@mobbwithus) — covering Canadian hip-hop and the artists shaping it; recent guests include Juno winner Saukrates. I'm looking for someone to find, pitch, and close brand sponsorships and partnerships across both — with immediate focus on selling the Halifax documentary release. What you'll sell: "Presented by" title sponsorships on documentary episodes Mid-roll and integrated placements in episodes and podcast City-specific partnerships (e.g., Halifax/East Coast brands for the Halifax episode, Toronto/GTA brands for the podcast) Multi-episode packages as the series expands across Canada What you'll do: Build a targeted list of brands that fit (streetwear, spirits/beverage, tech, finance apps, music platforms, regional brands per city, culture-forward Canadian companies) Find the right contact (marketing, partnerships, media buying) — not info@ emails Write and send personalized outreach; follow up on a set cadence Book intro calls for me or negotiate rate-card deals directly Track everything in a shared CRM or sheet — every lead, every touch, every response Requirements: Proven experience selling sponsorships, branded content, influencer deals, or media/ad placements — show me a deal you closed Understanding of YouTube sponsorship packaging (title cards, integrations, description links) is a strong plus Strong written English and clean, persuasive outreach copy Comfortable reporting weekly: leads added, emails sent, replies, calls booked. Non-negotiable. Bonus: existing relationships with brands or agencies in Canada How this works: Starts with a 2-week paid trial with clear targets (lead list quality + outreach volume + response rate) Base rate plus commission on closed sponsorships — I'm open to structuring this so strong closers earn well Weekly 15-minute check-in call or Loom update To apply: Don't send a generic proposal. Tell me (1) one sponsorship or branded content deal you personally closed and how, (2) which brand you'd pitch as the title sponsor for a Halifax hip-hop documentary and why, and (3) your proposed base + commission split.
