Sports Data Feed / Odds & Settlement Engine Consultant
Worldwide
We are looking for an experienced sports data / odds feed engineer or consultant who has worked with sports betting data systems, odds feeds, fixture mapping, market lifecycle, results processing, and settlement workflows. This is not a content, affiliate, or marketing role. We are looking for someone with real backend/data experience in sports odds or iGaming data infrastructure. Initial scope: - Review our target architecture for a sports odds feed and settlement workflow - Advise on fixture/event mapping, market mapping, odds updates, result handling, and settlement logic - Explain practical options for using third-party odds feeds vs building internal feed-processing infrastructure - Help define an MVP technical specification for a reliable B2B sports data service - Identify risks around duplicate updates, out-of-order messages, suspended markets, cancelled events, re-settlement, and rollback handling Ideal experience: - Built or integrated sports odds feeds, sportsbook data APIs, or iGaming backend systems - Experience with live and prematch odds data - Understanding of fixtures, leagues, teams, markets, selections, odds movement, market status, results, settlement, and correction flows - Backend experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Go, Python, or similar - Experience with WebSocket/API integrations, message queues, Redis, PostgreSQL/MySQL, RabbitMQ/Kafka, or similar - Familiarity with providers such as LSports, Sportradar/Betradar, Genius Sports/BetGenius, FeedConstruct, BetConstruct, or similar is a plus - Experience with smaller/regional sports data providers is also highly valuable First milestone: We want to start with a paid consultation and technical discovery. Please describe, without violating any NDA, one sports odds/data/settlement system you have worked on and what your role was. Please answer these questions in your proposal: 1. Have you personally worked on odds feed, sports data API, or settlement logic? What exactly did you build? 2. Which sports data providers or sportsbook platforms have you integrated with? 3. How would you handle duplicate odds updates, delayed updates, and out-of-order messages? 4. How should a system handle settlement corrections or cancelled matches? 5. What would you recommend for an MVP architecture for a small B2B sports data feed service?
