Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack & AI

New York City | On-Site ⚠️ | Full-time About the Role This is not a role where you'll be limited to a single area of engineering. You'll work across the full technology stack, own problems end-to-end, and communicate directly with customers who use what you build. We're looking for engineers who are driven by impact, naturally use AI tools as part of their daily workflow, and genuinely want to understand why what they're building matters. What You'll Do: - Own problems from initial scoping through production. Write the code, ship it, and monitor how it performs with users. - Work across the full technology stack, going wherever the problem requires rather than staying within a fixed frontend or backend specialization. - Talk directly to customers by participating in calls, reading support tickets, and reviewing session replays to understand what people actually need. - Use AI throughout your daily workflow, including code generation, debugging, specification drafting, and identifying opportunities where AI changes what's possible. - Move quickly and iterate openly by getting solutions in front of users and continuously improving them. - Take initiative when something is broken or needs attention and fix it. What We're Looking For: - 5+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. - Genuine full-stack flexibility, with proven experience shipping across the technology stack without treating frontend and backend as hard boundaries. - Genuine AI fluency, with daily use of AI tools and an ability to identify where they can expand what's possible to build. - A strong bias toward shipping working solutions to users rather than over-perfecting ideas in documentation. - Customer curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding the people using what you build. - High agency—the ability to make progress when requirements are unclear, surface problems early, and take ownership of outcomes. Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role is $170,000 – $270,000 annually.
