Steampunk / Victorian Christmas Ornament Designer (3D Printable – Fixed Price) **IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL** **This is a FIXED-PRICE project, not an hourly job.** The fixed price is for designing **five (5) complete Christmas ornament designs as described below. Please submit your proposal based on completing all five ornament designs. **Do not submit an hourly rate.** --- Project Overview I am looking for a talented and creative **3D designer** to design a collection of **Steampunk / Victorian Christmas ornament covers** for my private home outdoor Christmas display, **Clockmaker's Christmas**. These ornaments will be **3D printed on a Bambu Lab H2D** using **ASA filament** and installed over existing **3-inch (76mm) plastic Christmas ball ornaments**. The goal is to create ornaments that look like they came from an old Victorian clockmaker's workshop. I am looking for a designer who enjoys being creative and can develop several unique concepts—not simply copy existing ornaments. --- Project Scope Design five (5) completely different ornament styles. Each ornament will consist of: * Upper hemisphere * Lower hemisphere or * Right hemisphere * Left hemisphere The two halves will: * Slip over a standard 3" (76mm) Christmas ball ornament * Align precisely * Snap together (preferred) * Be permanently glued after assembly The seam should become part of the design by incorporating a decorative center band that joins both halves together. --- Ornament Size Designed to fit: * Standard 3" (76mm) Christmas ball ornaments Please allow proper clearance for: * 3D printing tolerances * Paint thickness * Easy installation --- Style The overall appearance should be: * Victorian * Steampunk * Clockmaker * Elegant * Highly detailed * Decorative filigree * Mechanical * Premium quality These are intended to become showpiece ornaments that visitors will stop and admire. --- Design Requirements Please create **five unique ornament designs.** Possible themes include: * Clockmaker * Victorian Filigree * Gearwork * Steam Engine * Observatory * Time Machine * Industrial Riveted * Snowflake Mechanism These are only examples. I welcome original ideas that fit the Clockmaker's Christmas theme. --- Center Band The center seam should become an attractive design element. Examples include: * Riveted brass band * Decorative gear ring * Clockwork band * Victorian filigree band * Pipework band * Mechanical locking ring The center band should visually connect the top and bottom halves and make the seam appear intentional. *** You can design something that doesn't require a band but it needs to have points to join the two halves together. --- Printing Requirements The designs must be optimized for FDM printing. Printer: * Bambu Lab H2D Material: * ASA Requirements: * Printable with minimal supports * Strong enough for outdoor seasonal use * Appropriate wall thickness * Designed with FDM printing in mind --- Deliverables For each ornament design, please provide: * Native CAD files (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.) * STEP files or * STL files * High-quality renderings --- Looking For I'm looking for someone who: * Has experience designing for 3D printing * Understands FDM printing limitations * Enjoys Victorian and Steampunk aesthetics * Can create original concepts rather than copying reference images * Communicates well throughout the project Please include examples of decorative, Steampunk, Victorian, or similar design work with your proposal. --- Future Work This is part of a much larger **Clockmaker's Christmas** project. Successful designers will likely be invited to work on additional projects, including: * Decorative pipe accessories * Victorian lanterns * Pressure gauges * Large decorative gears * Clockwork mechanisms * Outdoor architectural decorations * Mechanical props I prefer building long-term relationships with talented designers who enjoy creating unique work. --- Important **I am NOT looking for AI-generated concepts or artwork.** I am looking for original, production-ready CAD models that are specifically designed for 3D printing and can be manufactured successfully.
