Streetwear Graphic Designer for NYC Apparel Brand
Worldwide
About the Project We are an NYC-based lifestyle sports brand looking for a talented streetwear graphic designer to help us build out the artwork for our upcoming capsule collections and drops. We are heavily rooted in the intersection of sport, elevated style, and city culture. Our brand thrives on a "human touch" element, so we are looking for a designer who relies on hand-drawn craftsmanship rather than just clean vectors or generic digital assets. We want our pieces to feel artistic, intentional, and premium. --- What You’ll Be Doing You will be taking core concepts and translating them into cohesive, drop-ready capsule collections. Key deliverables will include: * Original Artwork: Designing custom crests, patches, and unique hand-drawn illustrations inspired by seasonal concepts. This includes developing versatile layouts optimized for traditional streetwear placements—specifically front graphics, full back pieces, and left chest placements. * Typography: Developing distinct, brand-aligned typography that works across multiple collections while keeping the overall identity cohesive. * Product Placement & Mockups: Intelligently placing artwork on a variety of blanks, including heavy-weight tees, crewnecks, hats, and bags. * Tech-Ready Assets: Preparing files that seamlessly transition to production (understanding sizing, color separation, and placement). --- Who You Are (Our Ideal Candidate) * The Aesthetic: You have a background in skate wear, but you also understand the world of elevated, luxury streetwear. You know how to make a design feel raw yet sophisticated. * The Skills: Strong hand-drawing abilities are a must. Excellent command of typography and layout. * The Technical Know-How: You understand the physical manufacturing process and design with the final product in mind. You know the advantages and limitations of screenprinting, embroidery, and DTG (Direct-to-Garment) depending on the artwork's detail and the garment’s fabric weight. You know how to set up files for color separation and ensure a design transitions flawlessly from a screen or machine to a physical blank. * The Vision: You can think in "collections," ensuring a multi-piece drop feels fresh and exciting but still uniquely recognizable as a single brand. --- Requirements to Apply Please include a link to your portfolio or attach relevant work. We are specifically looking to see: 1. Examples of hand-drawn apparel graphics (especially crests, patches, or detailed line work). 2. Examples of typography or branding across apparel. 3. Realized physical products (photos of finished garments you’ve designed are a massive plus). Thank you.
