Structural & Architectural Metalwork Estimator (Ongoing Work)

We are looking to establish a long‑term working relationship with a reliable, detail‑focused Structural and Architectural Metalwork Estimator. Our goal is to partner with someone who can support us on a regular, ongoing basis as new tenders and opportunities arise. The ideal candidate has strong experience reviewing construction documentation, identifying metalwork packages, and producing accurate, well‑presented take‑offs and reports. Key Responsibilities: *Review architectural drawings, structural plans, and tender documentation Identify all structural and architectural metalwork items relevant to our scope Complete accurate take‑offs for each item Produce a comprehensive report including: *Item descriptions and specifications *Quantities *Finishes *Relevant standards/specification notes *Assumptions or clarifications Provide an itemised and summarised document featuring: *Snippets from plans, schedules, and tender documents *Clear referencing to drawing numbers and locations *All item specifics required for pricing For structural steel packages, preference is given to candidates who can provide: *Tekla‑generated reports *Tekla‑based take‑offs Requirements: Proven experience estimating structural steel and architectural metalwork Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings Understanding of fabrication, installation, and metalwork industry standards Experience with Tekla Structures (preferred for structural steel) High attention to detail and accuracy Clear communication and reliable turnaround times Commitment to building a long‑term working relationship Deliverables: Full take‑off of all metalwork items Comprehensive report with itemised and summarised breakdown Annotated snippets from drawings and schedules Tekla reports for structural steel (where applicable)
