Structural Engineer (TX PE) Needed for Long-Term Contract — Commercial Tenant Finish-Out

Structural Engineer (Restaurant Tenant Finish-Out) Remote Contract, Hourly Summary Looking for a licensed Structural Engineer to join our team on a remote, hourly contract basis. Help us deliver! Must have experience with structural analysis and drawings for commercial tenant finish-out projects located in the US, specifically for restaurant brands. Work includes existing structural analysis, rooftop equipment support/bracing, foundations, and structural coordination for small commercial buildouts. Must be licensed in Texas, with additional state licenses a plus (and an expectation to pick up new state licenses as projects require). Role Location: Western Hemisphere to align with US Central Time Zone Role Purpose Be the structural engineer for our projects. Lead structural analysis and drafting in CAD/Revit for restaurant tenant finish-out projects. Analyze and design bracing/support for rooftop equipment, foundations, and structural elements for small commercial projects. Prepare structural construction drawings that are accurate, on budget, and on time. Coordinate with the architectural and MEP teams as required. Stamp and seal drawings for permit submittal in licensed states. Maintain quick turnaround on structural calculations, drawings, and revisions. As the structural engineer of record, you will be responsible for the structural drawings and the successful design solutions. Buckets of Responsibility - The main structural engineer for the project, responsible for structural analysis, bracing/support design (including rooftop equipment), and foundations. - Preparing and stamping structural construction drawings and calculations for permit submittal. - Organized and responsive. - Attend project meetings and communicating to keep project teams informed and up to date. - Helping sustain project momentum, delivery dates, and performance targets. - Coordinating with architectural and MEP consultants. Requirements - Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, required. Additional state licenses a plus, with willingness to obtain new state licenses as projects require. - 5-7+ years of structural engineering experience on commercial projects, ideally including restaurant or retail tenant finish-out work. - Experience with rooftop equipment bracing/support analysis, foundations, and small commercial structural design. - Proficient in CAD and/or Revit for structural drawings. - Very organized to complete a highly accurate set of structural drawings and calculations. - Experienced working independently and remotely. - Experienced working with an internal and external project team. - Quick response times and availability for project coordination meetings during US business hours.
