Summer 2026 AP Economics Tutor (Micro & Macro) needed — Accelerated 8–10 Week Program

Overview We are an education-focused consulting academy working with high-potential students on academic performance and university preparation. We are currently seeking an experienced AP Economics tutor (Micro + Macro) to support a high school student in an accelerated 8–10 week review program. This is not traditional tutoring. We are looking for someone who can deliver structured, high-impact instruction focused on conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, and exam performance. Objective The goal is to: -review and reinforce the full AP Micro and/or Macroeconomics curriculum -strengthen the student’s understanding of core economic intuition and models -improve performance on: a) multiple-choice questions b) free-response questions (FRQs) c) develop the student’s ability to analyze graphs, explain reasoning clearly, and apply concepts to real-world scenarios The student is capable but currently lacks consistency, structure, and exam strategy. Scope of Work -Deliver 2–3 sessions per week (60–90 minutes each) -Cover all major AP Economics topics, including: -Supply & demand -Elasticity -Market structures -Game theory (basic) -GDP, inflation, unemployment -Monetary & fiscal policy -International trade & exchange rates -Assign targeted practice between sessions -Use College Board-style questions, especially FRQs You'll be expected to provide feedback on: -accuracy -reasoning -clarity of written responses -Instruction Style (Important) We are NOT looking for: ❌ passive homework help ❌ memorization-focused teaching ❌ surface-level explanations We ARE looking for: ✅ structured lesson planning ✅ strong conceptual explanations (the “why” behind economics) ✅ emphasis on graph interpretation and reasoning ✅ ability to teach students how to approach FRQs step-by-step ✅ ability to challenge the student and build independence Our academy will provide: -instructional parameters -expectations -student context You will be responsible for executing high-quality sessions within that structure.
