Supplement Sourcing Specialist – Pet Nutraceuticals (CMO Procurement)

About Us We're a fast-growing direct-to-consumer pet wellness brand selling premium supplements for dogs — including CBD oil, organ-based supplements, joint chews, and allergy chews. Our products are positioned at the high end of the market, and quality and compliance matter as much as cost. We're currently looking to conduct a structured sourcing exercise across our core SKU formulations — evaluating existing and new contract manufacturers to make sure we're getting the best combination of price, quality, lead times, and service. What the Role Involves You'll act as our dedicated sourcing agent for this project. Specifically: Receive our existing formulations and product specs (formats include soft chews and liquid oils) Identify and reach out to qualified US-based contract manufacturers (cGMP-certified, ideally NASC-compliant) Manage the full RFQ process: submitting specs, following up, collecting quotes, and clarifying terms Build a comparison matrix covering: per-unit COGS, MOQs, lead times, certifications, stability testing capabilities, and packaging options Flag any red flags or standout opportunities and give us your recommendation This is not a passive research task — we need someone who will actively chase down quotes and push suppliers for timely responses. Ideal Experience Hands-on experience working with US-based supplement contract manufacturers is a hard requirement — please do not apply if you don't have this Direct experience in pet supplement or human nutraceutical procurement or supply chain Familiarity with soft chew and liquid supplement manufacturing processes Experience running structured RFQ or bid processes with multiple US CMOs simultaneously Understanding of cGMP, NASC, and relevant labeling/compliance standards for pet products Prior pet supplement industry experience is strongly preferred What We'll Provide Existing product formulations and specifications Current supplier context (what we know, what we don't) Clear scope and timeline expectations upfront Deliverable A clean sourcing comparison report with at minimum 3–5 qualified US-based CMO quotes per SKU, along with your written recommendation and any negotiation notes. Timeline: We are looking to start immediately.
