Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist (Remote, Europe) — Consumer Electronics Workload: 60–80% (approx. 24–32 hrs/week) · Long-term, ongoing Location: Europe-based (remote) — overlap with Central European Time (CET) required Type: Freelance / contract About us: Faitron is a Swiss consumer-products company (HeatsBox® self-heating lunchbox, BabyBoo food warmer, and related smart electronics). We design our products in Switzerland and manufacture with partners in Asia, selling across Europe, the US, and online marketplaces such as Amazon. We're a small, fast-moving team and are looking for an experienced freelancer to own our supply chain and procurement as a current team member transitions out. The role: You'll be the central point of contact between our team, our overseas manufacturers, and our logistics partners — making sure the right products are ordered at the right terms and arrive on time. This is a hands-on, end-to-end procurement and supply chain role, not a purely strategic one. What you'll do: Manage supplier relationships with our manufacturing partners (primarily in China) — day-to-day communication, quotations, and follow-ups. Negotiate pricing, MOQs, margins, and payment terms (e.g. deposit/balance structures) and keep agreements documented and consistent across orders. Place and track purchase orders; manage POs and proforma invoices (PI), verify invoice accuracy (amounts, deposit vs. balance, order references) before payment. Coordinate production timelines and shipments, and proactively flag delays or issues. Organize international freight and customs — work with forwarders and transport partners on sea/air shipments to Switzerland, the EU, and other markets. Coordinate with our internal team and external accountant to ensure procurement and payment documentation is complete and correct. Support marketplace/operations needs (e.g. Amazon) with product and shipment information as required. Maintain clean records of orders, suppliers, pricing, and shipping documents. What we're looking for: Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing — ideally with physical/consumer products and overseas (Asia-based) manufacturing. Strong negotiation skills and commercial sense around pricing, terms, and cost control. Experience coordinating international logistics, freight forwarding, and customs/import processes. Highly organized and detail-oriented — you catch invoice and PO errors before they become problems. Fluent, professional English (written and spoken) for daily supplier and team communication. Comfortable working independently and remotely with a small team across time zones. Reliable overlap with European business hours (CET). Nice to have: German language skills (a meaningful plus — some supplier, accounting, and customs documents are in German). Experience with consumer electronics or appliances. Familiarity with Amazon marketplace operations. Experience working with Swiss/EU import and VAT/customs requirements.
