IT Support Specialist

We're looking for two motivated IT Support Specialists to join the backstage technical team of a major international cultural event in Berlin. You'll keep the IT infrastructure running smoothly during a high-energy, time-critical preparation and delivery phase — a great opportunity to see how a large-scale event operates behind the scenes. Responsibilities: - Set up and support standard IT workstations (monitors, printers, peripherals) and specialized technical equipment - Ensure smooth operation of workstations, internet connectivity, network access, email, and telephony - Provide first-level support: receive, log, and resolve incoming support tickets; answer user questions on-site - Document all requests and escalate complex issues to IT system administration with clear technical descriptions - Inventory and track IT equipment at new or changed locations - Provide flexible support for additional IT tasks as needed, including direct support before and during the main event (may include evenings/weekends) Requirements: - Solid experience in IT support: hardware/peripheral setup, LAN/WLAN networking, common operating systems, and email clients - Structured, solution-oriented approach to ticketing, documentation, and troubleshooting - Strong communication skills and service mindset, including under pressure - Flexibility to support evenings/weekends during the event's peak phase - Fluent German required; good English is a plus given the international environment Location & Duration: - 100% on-site in Berlin - 11 January 2027 – 28 February 2027 - 2 positions available
