Title: On-Call IT Support for Australian Trades Business — Ad-Hoc, Ongoing About us We are an Australian business doing smoke alarm installation, compliance and general electrical work, based in Queensland. We have 3 office staff and 8 field technicians. We are seeking additional IT capability in-house. We need someone the team can contact when something technical goes wrong. (We'll share our company details with shortlisted candidates.) What you'd do Password resets, account lockouts, MFA issues Email problems in Outlook and Gmail, on desktop and mobile New starter setup and departing staff offboarding Phone and tablet issues for field techs - email sync, app logins, storage, connectivity Windows laptop/desktop troubleshooting - printing, Wi-Fi, slow machines, software installs File access and sharing questions General "how do I…" questions from staff Telling us when something needs fixing properly General high level IT problem solving skills Our systems Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive) - we run both. Windows laptops and desktops Android and iOS phones and tablets Job management and accounting software typical of an Australian trades business (details at interview). Availability Contactable by WhatsApp, phone and email 8:00am–5:00pm AEST (Sydney), Monday to Friday Acknowledge messages within 10 minutes during those hours Same-day resolution, or a clear next step and timeframe Access Read this before applying. You will get scoped based general admin access only Access is to a named account in your name. No shared logins. You will sign an NDA. Customer data stays in our systems. Requirements Help desk / IT support experience with Australian small businesses Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace admin - user management, password and MFA resets, mailbox and licence basics Windows troubleshooting; Android and iOS support Fluent-English communication. Reliable internet and phone; 100% availability during AEST business hours (08:30 - 16:30) Comfortable with communication through WhatsApp (including voicecalls)
