Sydney Residential Architect Required — DA/CDC Experience & Local Project Samples

Project overview: We’re seeking an experienced residential architect with proven success delivering new homes, renovations, and extensions in Sydney, NSW. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of local projects and be able to provide samples of approved drawings (DA/CDC) and construction-ready plans. Scope of work: Concept design through to Development Application (DA) or Complying Development Certificate (CDC) Preparation of architectural plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visuals Coordination with engineers, surveyors, and other consultants as required Provision of BASIX documentation and energy compliance support (where applicable) Assistance with council submission and addressing RFIs/approval conditions Requirements: Demonstrated experience designing residential projects in Sydney (houses, townhouses, duplexes, or small multi-residential) Ability to provide redacted samples of past approvals and construction plans Proficiency in Revit, ArchiCAD, or AutoCAD (please specify) Strong understanding of NSW planning controls, NCC/BCA, and local council processes Excellent communication skills and ability to meet agreed timelines Deliverables: Concept options and design rationale DA/CDC-ready drawing set (plans, elevations, sections, site plan, shadow diagrams, etc.) 3D renders or visualisations (as required) Construction documentation package (if engaged beyond approval stage) How to apply: Please submit your proposal with: A brief introduction and relevant experience in Sydney residential projects Links to your portfolio Redacted samples of past approvals and plans (DA/CDC or similar) Your typical fee structure (hourly or fixed-price per stage) and estimated turnaround times We look forward to reviewing your work and discussing how you can contribute to our upcoming residential project in Sydney.
