Synapse Data Architect

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in analytics solutions and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences: Design and Architecture: Experience in designing and architecting end-to-end Analytics solutions in Synapse and Power BI. Familiarity with Change Data Capture (CDC) frameworks is a plus. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in developing, architecting, and maintaining Azure Synapse Analytics end-to-end solutions, Azure Databricks, and Spark pools. Experience in monitoring high-volume, complex data warehouse and analytical processes is required. Azure Platform: Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Flow, PowerBI, Azure Functions, and Databricks. Data Pipeline and Modeling: Ability to create data pipeline designs, source-to-target mappings, and data models. Data Engineering Knowledge: Understanding of data engineering requirements and design practices including fact qualifier matrices, dimensional modeling, and business questions. Communication Skills: Strong relationship and communication skills to collaborate with and document end-users’ needs. Optimization: Experience in architecting solutions to optimize dedicated SQL pools in Azure Synapse Analytics using different data distribution methods, partitioning, and query optimization. Knowledge of performance/cost optimization techniques is a must. Migration: Experience in large-scale warehouse migration from on-premises to cloud environments. PowerBI Architect: PowerBI architect experience is preferred. Relevant certification is a plus.
