Talent Partner: Candidate Screening Calls (Recruiting) About Vertica Capital Partners Vertica Capital Partners is a New York-based private equity firm focused on vertical SaaS companies. We run active recruiting across our portfolio - from individual contributors up to C-suite executives - and we’re looking for a contractor to serve as a frontline Talent Partner on candidate screening calls. What You’ll Do • Conduct 30–45 minute first-round screening calls with candidates on our behalf • Represent Vertica professionally - you’ll be introduced to candidates as a Talent Partner with our firm • Work from a structured question guide we provide for each role • Record every call (we’ll specify the platform) • Submit a brief written summary after each call • Refer deeper questions about the role or firm to our internal team What We’ll Give You • A clear question guide for each role • Background materials on the company and the position • Access to our internal team for anything you can’t answer What We’re Looking For • Prior experience in recruiting, HR, talent acquisition, or executive search - phone screening experience specifically is a plus • Professional, polished communication - you’re representing a PE-backed firm to senior candidates • Reliable, on-time, responsive • Comfortable with video/phone call tools and recording software • Availability during business hours (ET preferred) Nice to Have • Background in tech, SaaS, or B2B software recruiting • Experience screening for sales, marketing, product, or engineering roles Engagement This is a part-time, ongoing freelance role. Volume will vary week to week. We may hire multiple contractors across different role tracks (technical, GTM, executive).
