Target List for Middle Market Capital Advisory

We are looking to identify middle market companies who we could target for advising on raising capital, especially debt. We are particularly interested in "non-obvious" targets that may be missed by other advisors. Our initial thought is to use databases like SourceScrub and Zoominfo to build a list. For example we could filter for companies by size (eg between $50M and $1 billion in revenue) and intent (eg searches for “refinancing”, “growth capital”, “private credit”, “debt advisory”, “capital advisory”, “financing” “capital markets” and “investment banking”). We would like input on this process including any recommendations on databases and search methodology. The key output would be a list of target companies along with a view on which databases were most helpful. We expect the initial run to be a short task, maybe one or two calls and a few outputs; there could be additional work depending on how that goes. Again we welcome any thoughts and recommendations on the process.
