Tax Reviewer (US Individual & Business Returns)

We are seeking an experienced US tax professional to review tax returns that have already been prepared by our team before final delivery to clients. This is a review-focused role, not a data entry or tax preparation position. The ideal candidate has strong technical tax knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to identify errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and tax planning opportunities. Responsibilities Review prepared Forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, and occasionally 1120 returns Verify accuracy of income, deductions, credits, depreciation, and basis calculations Review K-1 reporting and multi-state tax issues Review real estate tax returns, including rentals, STRs, cost segregation studies, and real estate professional status issues Identify missing information and prepare reviewer notes for tax preparers Ensure returns meet firm quality standards before client delivery Communicate findings clearly and efficiently Have access to Drake. Requirements Minimum 5 years of recent US tax experience Strong experience reviewing tax returns Proficient with Drake Tax (preferred). Must have Drake, Experience with real estate investors and small business clients Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Excellent written English communication skills CPA, EA, or experienced tax professional preferred
